When the Belgian beer Hoegaarden was looking to take their brand on the road for pop-ups at music festivals and other events across the U.S., they turned to Turtle Transit to create a mobile beer gaarden.
We took a vintage VW microbus and fabricated a mobile Hoegaarden experiential promotional serving vehicle. We began by reinforcing the vehicle before cutting out a side panel to create space for a serving window, with a roll-out shade for sunny days. We opened up the roof with a pop-up, enabling servers to stand inside the VW van.
Inside the van, we built in two taps and a ‘fridge which kept two kegs cool. The walls were painted a crisp white, in keeping with the brand colors. A varnished wooden counter completed the serving space.
One side of the microbus included an ivy wall embedded around a large Hoegaarden logo The sides of the roof held flower pots to continue the gaarden effect.
